Madison ~ Class of 2012

There is something about mornign light that I LOVE!  It’s different in the best kind of way.  It’s soft and makes colors more rich.

The countdown is on for seniors!  Graduation is so close; a couple more finals and things will be wrapping up.  Congratulations to all the seniors graduating in the next few weeks!

Donny and Kari ~ Part 2

It was so sweet to see this family right after the ceremony.  The kids could not stop hugging Donny.  I loved how much they involved them the whole night.  Little Daisy got in on the cake cutting, they were all dancing, it was a family celebration.  Donny’s family knows how to have a good time at a party and were dancing all. night. long.  Choreographed dances, singing along with the music, you name it… they know how to have a good time.  Congratulations again Taylors!  I’m excited to see what’s next for you guys.

Donny and Kari

I cannot tell you how excited I was when Kari asked me to shoot her wedding.  Do you all remember this session I had with her and her sweet kiddos?  I am so happy her and Donny found each other.  They both have incredible families on their side, and the kids… they LOVE Donny.  They are attached to him at the hip and he is so sweet and loving towards them.  It has been so neat to see this new family come together and love each other so much.  I loved getting to know Donny a bit on their wedding day.  They have so much fun and are always laughing together.  Donny kept telling Kari how beautiful she is; he’d break out in song every time a good one came on through the speakers making her laugh.  Kari kept trying to steal a kiss every time Donny got too close; they are so incredibly happy.

I had to split this into two posts; too much to share.  Part two will be up on Wednesday, but for now I just wanted to share some of Donny and Kari on their special day.  I’m so happy for you two.

First look: brides if you want a genuine reaction, you need to do this before hand with just the two of you.  It’s my favorite.

…and because so many of you have been asking to see a family picture I knew this one couldn’t wait.  Love this Taylor family.

David and Katy – Engaged

How in the world did I skip posting these engagements?  A couple weeks ago when I posted their bridals I was searching for them to link up and realized I never even did a post.  I know I put a couple on facebook (for those of you who aren’t a part of Ashley Madsen Photography facebook fun… you’re missing out!!!), but they need to be on here.

This session was Thanksgiving weekend and it was cold!  Like 35 degrees and tornado like winds cold.  We would wait for that 2 second opening when the wind would calm down and snap away.  Seriously though, I couldn’t love these two more.  Being natural in front of a camera is not easy for most people; it can be awkward having a big black thing in your face while you’re trying to be lovey, but these guys knew how to work it.  That or they are just too in love to care I was there.

Welcome Baby Sawyer

Love these cute kids!  They have been waiting for Mr. Sawyer to join their family for a long time and he sure is loved!  I couldn’t believe how alert he was for being 2 weeks old.  He has so much hair, those sweet big eyes, cutest lips, and now I can’t wait for my little boy to get here.  His brother and sister are so sweet with him; they’d talk to him and sing to him.  Like I said… LOVED!
